Prutasan Ni Adan

About Us

Our Story

The story behind Prutasan ni Adan begins with Bobby and Shera, who were planning to open their first concept store in 2017. While having dinner, Shera suggested to Bobby that they use his family name and create a store called Prutasan ni Adan. With that, Prutasan ni Adan became a reality, and Bobby’s goal at the time was to become the number one fruit basket supplier in Cebu. He would jokingly say that whenever people talked about fruit baskets, they would only mention Prutasan ni Adan. Fast forward to the present, all their dreams, hard work, and sleepless nights have paid off. They are grateful for the patrons, customers, and their family who supported them when they started small as a Fruitstand.

What We Do

Bobby and Shera Adan, the co-owners of Prutasan ni Adan, have been working together as a team, not just as husband and wife. They have a strong partnership and strive to achieve success. Recently, they attended a summit together to explore opportunities for finding new suppliers abroad and expanding their understanding of the trade system.

Bobby Adan opened a new branch of his business, Prutasan ni Adan, at Banilad Town Center in Cebu. Bobby Adan is the founder and CEO of Prutasan ni Adan. He started his business by selling bananas only to the canteen of his company. However, he soon realized that offering fruits was a good business opportunity. In 2016, Bobby decided to resign from his corporate job and fully concentrate on his fruit supply business to canteens and hotels.

In 2017, Bobby opened the first concept store of Prutasan ni Adan at Airport Road in Lapu Lapu City, marking his first venture into the local fruit store business. During his travels, including trips to Dubai and Eastern Europe, he discovered a wide variety of premium fruits in 2018. This inspired him to think about offering them to the people of Cebu.

In 2019, Bobby conducted market research and identified suppliers for the premium fruits he wanted to offer. Just as he was making progress, the pandemic hit in 2020. Despite the challenges, Bobby had already secured a reliable supplier, which enabled him to have sufficient supplies during the pandemic.

Managing his staff and dealing with the closure of his store and supply to canteens and hotels during the pandemic was not easy for Bobby. As a result, he decided to offer his fruits through online platforms and farmers markets. This strategy proved successful, and Prutasan ni Adan became well-known for its exotic fruits.

In 2022, due to the increasing number of customers, Bobby decided to open a larger store to accommodate his growing patrons. He opened the main branch of Prutasan ni Adan at Tancor 1 Residences and positioned it as a neighborhood grocer. This expansion and the introduction of new offerings such as ready-to-eat meals, fruit-based ice cream, fruit cups, salads, and strawberry cheesecake further contributed to Prutasan ni Adan’s popularity.

With the recent opening of a new branch at Banilad Town Center in May 2023, Prutasan ni Adan continues to grow and gain recognition in the market.
